Role Summary
• A paid fall 2026 internship in the external relations team of AARP's Office of the Chief of Staff. AARP is the nation's largest nonpartisan organisation for Americans over 50; the intern helps amplify its advocacy on health and financial security through media and communications work.
Responsibilities
• Support policy promotion on family caregiving, health, and prescription drugs through strategic communications.
• Research policy topics and draft documents to support advocacy efforts.
• Assist with organizing and executing remote and in-person media events.
• Design post-campaign reports highlighting advocacy media reach.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Degree: Enrolled in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
Work & Eligibility
• Academic Enrollment: Must be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student and remain enrolled throughout.
