Role Summary
• The Pan American Health Organization's general internship program. PAHO is the World Health Organization's regional office for the Americas, based in Washington. Interns are placed in one of its technical or administrative areas — health policy, communications, external relations and others — at headquarters or a country office.
Responsibilities
• Conduct research, literature surveys, and data collection.
• Assist in drafting policy briefs, guides, manuals, and reports.
• Help organize workshops, conferences, and events.
• Participate in ongoing departmental projects and tool development.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Depending on the area, may be needed or an advantage: experience in research or drafting reports, data analysis, or field work in developing countries.
Work & Eligibility
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Open to final-year undergraduates, graduate students, or recent graduates within two years.
