Summer 2027 Legal Intern

Role Summary • Assist Democracy Forward attorneys in public interest litigation and regulatory engagement to build collective power and advance democracy. Responsibilities • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and regulatory filings. • Assist attorneys in preparing for court arguments, hearings, and agency appearances. • Screen potential cases and participate in strategic discussions on affirmative litigation. • Participate in client meetings with non-profits, unions, and government entities. Required Knowledge & Experience • Class Year: Currently enrolled 1L or 2L law student at an accredited law school. • Demonstrated commitment to democracy and social progress. • Interest in public interest litigation. Work & Eligibility • May 27, 2027 – July 30, 2027. • In the office 2–3 days per week. • Occasional travel required for retreats or meetings.
