Spring 2027 Legal Intern, Civic Engagement & Voter Protection

Role Summary • A part-time legal internship supporting the DNC's Civic Engagement and Voter Protection team on election law, voting rights, and state legislative monitoring. Responsibilities • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on voting rights and election administration. • Assist with managing the year-round Voter Assistance Hotline. • Develop explanatory resources, voting rights advocacy materials, and voter education trainings. • Support volunteer efforts and voter protection programming. Required Knowledge & Experience • Degree: Enrolled law student who has completed at least 1 year of law school, or recent law graduate. Work & Eligibility • Dates: January 11, 2027 – March 19, 2027 (20 hours per week). • Work format: In-person in Washington, DC, hybrid, or remote within the U.S. Application Process • Submit a cover letter, legal memorandum writing sample, and three professional references (including one law professor) via the online portal.
