Research Associate, Policy

Role Summary • Evaluates, prioritizes, and advances state and local policy solutions supporting regenerative agriculture practices and water quality improvements for the North America Agriculture Program. Responsibilities • Identifies and researches water policy interventions, developing legislative and administrative solutions. • Collaborates with government relations staff, state units, and external partners to implement policy solutions. • Fosters relationships with contractors, consultants, NGOs, and universities to expand research capabilities. Required Knowledge & Experience • Degree: Bachelor's degree with related experience, or equivalent education/experience; Master's or JD preferred. • Experience: Policy analysis, state-level legislative initiatives, and research synthesis. • Knowledge: Preferred familiarity with agriculture, water, and land-use policies. Work & Eligibility • 2-year grant-funded role with potential extension based on funding. • Occasional domestic travel required for meetings and retreats.
