AmeriCorps VISTA, Community Engagement

Role Summary • A one-year AmeriCorps VISTA service position with the International Rescue Committee, the global humanitarian aid organisation. VISTA members work on a single project to build an organisation's capacity rather than serving clients directly; here, the Amplifying Client Voices project, which brings refugees' own feedback and participation into the IRC's newsletters, outreach, volunteering and programs. Responsibilities • Produce a monthly external newsletter and social media content on client engagement. • Design client feedback tools, including survey models and communication channels. • Analyze feedback, test mechanisms, and present findings to staff. • Draft standard operating procedures to integrate client feedback into long-term programming. Required Knowledge & Experience • Preferred: Prior experience and interest in community engagement or communications, and in working with refugees and immigrants. Work & Eligibility • Term: September 2026 to September 2027.
