Role Summary
• A spring 2027 litigation internship at the Natural Resources Defense Council, one of the largest US environmental advocacy groups, combining lawyers, scientists and policy experts. Litigation interns work with its attorneys on lawsuits about the climate crisis and public health — legal research, memos and help preparing cases.
Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research and prepare memos for active litigation, case development, and rulemaking.
• Draft and review legal pleadings, briefs, administrative comments, and proposed legislation.
• Interview members and assist in preparing standing declarations.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Enrolled as a 2L, 3L, or LL.M. student during spring 2027.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral communication skills.
Work & Eligibility
• Minimum commitment of 140 total hours over the term.
• Requires in-office presence one day per week.
