Spring/Summer 2027 Intern, Payments Forum

Role Summary • Intern with the Atlanta Fed's Research Department supporting the Federal Reserve Payments Study, a national study of noncash payments activity conducted with the Board of Governors. Responsibilities • Recruit financial institutions, payment processors, card networks, and card issuers to participate in data collection. • Perform data submission and validation activities. • Help respondents complete survey and study requirements. Required Knowledge & Experience • Degree: Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics. Work & Eligibility • Two-semester commitment (Spring and Summer 2027) preferred. • 15 hours/week in Spring (Jan–May) and 30 hours/week in Summer (May–Aug). • U.S. work authorization required without visa sponsorship; requires background check and compliance with ethics rules.
