Legislative Correspondent

Role Summary • Represents Congressman Gabe Amo by managing constituent correspondence, constituent newsletters, and an assigned policy portfolio in his Washington, D.C. office. Responsibilities • Oversee the constituent correspondence program, drafting responses and managing newsletter content. • Manage a policy portfolio by tracking legislation, monitoring committee and floor activity, and recommending legislative actions. • Draft legislation, letters, remarks, and written materials related to the policy portfolio. • Represent the Member in meetings with constituents, local and national stakeholder organizations, and administration officials. Required Knowledge & Experience • Previous Capitol Hill experience is strongly preferred. • Rhode Island ties are a plus.
