Role Summary
• Full-time summer internship with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston supporting Federal Reserve System research and development on digital currency, payment systems, smart contracts, and central banking technologies.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate across internal stakeholders including Legal, Audit, Finance, and Procurement to address risks and challenges.
• Design process improvements to help the operations team work efficiently.
• Build reports to communicate outcomes to senior management.
• Support agile delivery methodology including planning and delivery.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Preferred Fields: Government, economics, finance, business, law, or engineering.
• Desired Knowledge: Fundamentals of money, banking, payments, finance, or software development.
Work & Eligibility
• Dates: May/June to August 2027.
• Clearance: Subject to FBI fingerprint and background checks.
• Other: Must comply with strict Federal Reserve financial interest and ethics rules.
