Role Summary
• A graduate-student research internship at World Wildlife Fund's Markets Institute, which looks for business solutions to conservation problems. Having explored selling invasive species — like invasive carp — as pet food, the team now wants to map which invasive species pose the biggest threat and how much of them there is; the intern does that research and categorisation.
Responsibilities
• Calculate global biomass of invasive species and compare it to native wildlife mammals.
• Analyze population ratios of invasive species relative to native wildlife.
• Categorize the percentage of invasive plant and animal species in key targeted geographies.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Background: Enrolled graduate student with strong research and analytical skills.
• Interests: Knowledge of or interest in food, agriculture, and sustainability.
