Student Trainee, Compliance and Policy

Role Summary • An unpaid student volunteer position, through the federal Semester of Service program, supporting compliance and policy work in a federal agency's Office of the Director. Students help with research, technical reviews and writing up policy documents for the office, for academic credit or experience. Responsibilities • Evaluate and summarize credible technical and policy information. • Create reports, presentations, practical guidance, training materials, and process documentation. • Translate technical concepts clearly for nontechnical audiences. Required Knowledge & Experience • Research: strong skills in evaluating technical and policy data. • Discretion: ability to handle sensitive information with care. Work & Eligibility • Must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution. • Requires written permission from the home institution.
