Role Summary
• A fall 2026 research internship in the Economics Program and Scholl Chair in International Business at CSIS, one of Washington's largest bipartisan foreign policy and security think tanks. The intern supports research on international trade, supply chain resilience, investment policy and economic security.
Responsibilities
• Conduct research, assist with report writing, and perform quantitative data analysis on international trade, finance, and economic governance.
• Identify, attend, and take notes on virtual internal and external events relevant to program topics.
• Assist program staff with ad hoc research requests and maintain internal and external working relationships.
Required Knowledge & Experience
• Background: Completed coursework in international trade, with a background in trade and economics; further practical or academic background desirable but not required.
• Experience: Prior professional experience is required.
• Skills: Advanced econometric and data science skills with experience analyzing economic data and creating data visualizations.
Work & Eligibility
• Runs through December 2026; open to full-time or part-time schedules.
