Summer 2027 Intern, Economic Research

Role Summary • Summer internship assisting economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco with quantitative research and economic policy analysis. Responsibilities • Perform data analysis and statistical modeling using financial and economic datasets. • Assist economists with empirical research for monetary policy and academic publications. • Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and research presentations. Required Knowledge & Experience • Skills: Python, Stata, Matlab, or R programming; Excel proficiency. • Background: Quantitative coursework in econometrics, statistics, calculus, or computer science. Work & Eligibility • 10.5 weeks, 40 hours per week (start dates: May 26 or June 9, 2027). • Open to undergraduate and graduate students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. • Requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
